8-system SDI camera input composite processing

Using an SDI card with a high-precision clock

A customer that has realized input video synthesis processing using eight SDI cameras has reduced the development process by about 80% by using the MIMO DSP Platform’s excellent input/output functions and SDI cards that can realize high-precision clocks.

The camera input processing part, which was planned to be developed in-house, was realized using the MIMO DSP Platform and built-in plug-ins. Using the multi-channel input capability of the optionally selectable Bluefish444 Kronos K8 card, we obtained video input capability using eight high-precision, full HD 60p cameras.

CUDA provided by NVIDIA is used for real-time video synthesis processing. The superior SIMD arithmetic processing capability enables us to achieve the originally planned video processing with performance that exceeds our expectations.

In order to quickly launch the business, the MIMO DSP Platform was adopted not only for prototype development but also for the actual operation process. By smoothly transitioning to actual operation, we are able to accurately capture business opportunities.

Customer Comment: “With the MIMO DSP Platform and SDK, we can consider much of the work we originally planned to do to be realized. The MIMO DSP Platform and SDK allowed us to focus our resources on the algorithm development that we should have been thinking about, and we were able to do this in parallel with other projects. This is a real blessing for us as we have limited human resources.”

The customer is planning to use the MIMO DSP Platform in a different form for its next project, and expects to use it as a business platform.
